Awuko Darko Samuel

Born in 1997 in Suhum, Ghana, Awuku Darko Samuel is a conceptual photographer whose work is rooted in storytelling and cultural expression. He began studying visual arts in high school, graduating in 2017. Starting with borrowed phones, he developed his craft and eventually found his voice in photography. Though skilled in various mediums like printmaking and ceramics, he favors photography for its immediacy and creative inspiration. Awuku draws deeply from his culture, using everyday objects to create editorial-style images. By involving local youth, he encourages creative expression and celebrates African heritage with limited resources.
